company & founding partners
WoodWelding SA was founded in July 1999 with the objective of commercialising the innovative WoodWelding® technology, and further developing and refining the platform technology as well as its IPR base.
The WoodWelding® technology has its roots in an innovation project at the "innovation house" Creaholic SA in Biel, Switzerland, in the mid 90's from which new fixation solutions for porous materials resulted. In 1997, Creaholic SA teamed up with the investment and IP commercialization partner, GP International S.A., to investigate the industrial potential of the WoodWelding® technology. After 2 years of cooperation - with the resulting conviction that the technology did have significant potential - WoodWelding SA was founded in 1999.
Since then, the company has established itself based on a model of technology licensing, R&D and consulting. Today, it has a substantial patent portfolio, developed solutions for a range of application fields, several licensees and research partners, and a 12 man strong team through its subsidiary WW Technology AG.
